Looking For My Pot Of Gold

“Be thou the rainbow in the storms of life. The evening beam that smiles the clouds away, and tints tomorrow with prophetic ray.” Lord Byron

Rainbows are so special, don’t you think so? When I was a child I believe that there was always a pot of gold at the end of each and every rainbow. I remember being around 5 years old, seeing a rainbow after a heavy storm, I let go of my mother’s hand and ran towards the rainbow. I ran as fast as my little legs would take me, until my chest was right with no air and my limbs felt heavy. I stopped and plopped onto my knees feeling defeated; looking up at the sky trying to reach that rainbow, All I wanted to do was find the end and find that promised treasure. 20 years on, I am still hoping I will find my pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
